Hair mousse ranking - the best hair mousses of 2024

Hair mousse is an extremely useful styling product. It has a long-lasting effect, yet its gentle formula does not make strands stiff. However, styling mousse is not only a quick and easy way to get the desired effect. Hair mousse often has conditioning properties. They protect the hair from harmful external influences, moisturise it and improve its elasticity. The most popular styling mousses are those that bring out the natural curl in curly hair and those that optically thicken and add volume to thin hair. Please note that the styling effect depends on the amount of product applied. However, like other styling products, styling mousse can also make your hair sticky or heavy if used to excess. The choice of styling mousse is huge. Therefore, we have created a ranking of five styling mousses to help you decide which is best for you. Check it out and give your hair the best.

Not only does it accentuate and bring out the natural curl, but it maintains this effect all day long 😍. In addition, a huge advantage of the cosmetic is its conditioning properties. The formula uses betaine extracted from sugar beet to protect hair from moisture loss, strengthen it and give it a beautiful, healthy shine 🌟. Testers were also impressed with the lightweight texture of the Wave Me Up mousse, which keeps hair looking fresh without being weighed down or sticky 👏. The Twisty mousse also prevents frizz and static on strands. After its application, hair is soft, moisturised 💦 and bouncy. Pantene's Defined Curls is another mousse in the set designed for curly hair. Testers praised the product's good composition and conditioning properties 🥰. However, they said that the effect of the fixed waves and curls could last a little longer. Among the ingredients in the Defined Curls formula are biotin to strengthen hair, coconut oil 🥥 to improve elasticity and panthenol to moisturise 💧 and soften strands. As noted by the testers, Pantene mousse does not weigh down the hair and prevents frizz, which is a big plus. The testers were also captivated by the beautiful scent of the product and the very attractive 🤩 design. Unfortunately, Defined Curls is not readily available and its price is not among the lowest.

L'Oreal's Volume Lift styling mousse from the Tecni.Art range is a professional styling product designed to lift hair at the roots and add volume 👍. Our testers confirmed the mousse's effect even on very thin and fine hair. However, they were not satisfied with the lack of hair conditioning ingredients 🤷‍♀️. There were also claims that the mousse makes strands stick together when a slightly larger amount is applied. Volume Lift by Syoss is a mousse designed to strengthen and optically increase hair volume 😀 . According to the manufacturer, the effect of a light and fixed hairstyle lasts up to 48 hours, which unfortunately was not confirmed by the testers 🤷‍♀️. They found that the styling durability was rather short. However, the main drawback of the product was the presence of denatured alcohol, which can dry out the scalp and hair. They also complained about the thin texture of the mousse making it difficult to apply accurately 🤔. The formulation uses panthenol to keep strands moisturised and lactic acid to strengthen and prevent frizz. The price of the Volume Lift mousse is favourable 👍.

  • prevents frizz
  • favourable price

Disadvantages
