Our testers praised the ointment's performance in situations such as minor injuries, bruises, and contusions. Calendula and arnica extracts as well as horse chestnut 🌿 bark extract have anti-inflammatory properties, accelerate the absorption of haematomas and relieve pain. The Arcalen ointment can also be used after training to prevent injuries 💪. Unfortunately, our testers also noticed a few drawbacks. The packaging of the ointment is small and at the same time it is not very efficient, so it runs out quickly 😓. The Elissa’s arnica ointment has gained popularity in Polish homes thanks to its effectiveness and versatility. Our tests have confirmed the good quality of this product. The main ingredients of the Elissa’s arnica ointment is arnica meadow inflorescence extract, which has a soothing effect on bruising and swelling 😊 However, our testers noticed a low efficiency of the product. The standard package contains only 25 g. The recommended use is 2-4 times a day, which makes the Elissa’s arnica ointment run out quickly 😞. The smell is quite distinctive, but not irritating. The downside, especially with sensitive skin, can also be ethanol and petroleum jelly included in the composition 👎, although the effect on bruises is good.

The Flos-Lek’s arnica gel for bruises is not an ointment, but we included it in the tests due to its popularity in the group of products for bruising treatment. The manufacturer recommends to use it on dilated capillaries and bruises. Our testers were satisfied with the effect on the bruised areas of the body 😉. The cooling and soothing effect is noticeable, although some testers reported a burning sensation of the skin after the first few applications of the gel 🔥. The product has a pleasant smell, but its effectiveness in treating bruises and other injuries is limited. The ointment strongly lubricates the skin, which can contribute to clogged pores and the formation of pimples.
