Their positive reviews attest to the effectiveness of this product in soothing bruises and other types of skin irritations. The formula of the ointment is based on natural ingredients such as calendula, arnica, shea butter, as well as sunflower seed, sweet almond and lavender oils 🌿. This combination provides exceptional care for bruised skin and has a beneficial effect on sensitive and dry skin 🥰. Our testers appreciated the quick effect of the product, which effectively soothes bruises, irritations, supports skin regeneration and moisturises dry areas. One of the biggest advantages of the Saint Eternite’s ointment is its versatility. It can be used on the body as well as on the face, the skin under the eyes and on the lips. Arcalen is a widely popular treatment ointment for bruises and injuries. It's a pharmacy product, but it had to appear on our list of ointments for bruises. Our testers praised the ointment's performance in situations such as minor injuries, bruises, and contusions. Calendula and arnica extracts as well as horse chestnut 🌿 bark extract have anti-inflammatory properties, accelerate the absorption of haematomas and relieve pain. The Arcalen ointment can also be used after training to prevent injuries 💪. Unfortunately, our testers also noticed a few drawbacks. The packaging of the ointment is small and at the same time it is not very efficient, so it runs out quickly 😓. In addition, it is not an all-rounder type of product, it is not suitable for the face and is only intended for people over 12 years old 🤔. Arcalen is a good bruise treatment, but due to its flaws, it could not win today.

The Elissa’s arnica ointment has gained popularity in Polish homes thanks to its effectiveness and versatility. Our tests have confirmed the good quality of this product. The main ingredients of the Elissa’s arnica ointment is arnica meadow inflorescence extract, which has a soothing effect on bruising and swelling 😊 However, our testers noticed a low efficiency of the product. The standard package contains only 25 g. The recommended use is 2-4 times a day, which makes the Elissa’s arnica ointment run out quickly 😞. The smell is quite distinctive, but not irritating. The downside, especially with sensitive skin, can also be ethanol and petroleum jelly included in the composition 👎, although the effect on bruises is good.

- short composition
Disadvantages

The Flos-Lek’s arnica gel for bruises is not an ointment, but we included it in the tests due to its popularity in the group of products for bruising treatment. The manufacturer recommends to use it on dilated capillaries and bruises. Our testers were satisfied with the effect on the bruised areas of the body 😉. The cooling and soothing effect is noticeable, although some testers reported a burning sensation of the skin after the first few applications of the gel 🔥. In addition, its high glycerin content can be comedogenic, which means it can clog pores and cause blackheads 😞. There is also the problem of low product performance - when used on larger parts of the body, it wears out quickly

La-le’s calendula ointment is a natural product of the Polish brand, which contains sunflower seed oil, calendula extract, beeswax and has a delicate aroma, thanks to bitter orange peel extract 🌿. The product has a pleasant smell, but its effectiveness in treating bruises and other injuries is limited. The ointment strongly lubricates the skin, which can contribute to clogged pores and the formation of pimples. Our testers rated the texture as too greasy, the ointment is slow to absorb and leaves a greasy film 😞. The effect on bruises is quite gentle, although noticeable. When considering the purchase, it is worth remembering that the La-le’s calendula ointment does not contain preservatives. This is a plus, but at the same time it makes the ointment expire quite quickly ⌛.

- simple composition
- natural extracts
- pleasant smell
Disadvantages
La-le, Calendula ointment
- oily texture
- leaves a sticky film
- little to no effect on the treatment of abrasions and irritations
- short shelf life
