Moisturizing Serums Ranking – Best Moisturizing Serum of 2023

In order to maintain a beautiful, healthy complexion, it is necessary to provide it with the right level of hydration. There are countless different types of cosmetics available on the market with greater or lesser effectiveness. The more effective ones include moisturizing serums. These lightweight formulas contain concentrated active ingredients that penetrate deep into the skin to deliver intense moisture and nourishment. A moisturizing serum can be used as an extra layer of skincare after cleansing and toning the skin, before applying a moisturizer. It can also be used on its own as a light alternative to a cream, especially for those with oily or combination skin who prefer lighter products. We've selected the top 5 moisturizing serums that we think work the most effectively. Find out which one will work best for you.

Mel Skin moisturizing serum is a cosmetic that, thanks to its high content of hyaluronic acid, deeply and long-lasting moisturizes 👌. Lactic acid, with its exfoliating effect, intensifies the effectiveness of hydration 💪. Our testers noticed a clear improvement in the condition of their facial 👩🏻‍ skin after the first application of the product! The skin was plumped and firmed. The serum is instantly absorbed, which makes it suitable for use both during the day (it is ideal as a make-up base) and at night. The formula contains natural 🌿, quality-selected ingredients. The smell of the cosmetic can be described as neutral, the product does not contain unnecessary "clogs" in its composition. The icing on the cake is the performance of the serum. Since each drop is rich in active ingredients, the cosmetic lasts for a really long time. The Mel Skin Ultra-Moisturizing Serum undoubtedly deserves the first place in our ranking 🏆.

The Tołpa dermo face hydrativ moisturizing serum, like its predecessors, contains a large dose of hyaluronic 💦 acid, which guarantees skin hydration. Unfortunately, the hydration is not in-depth. The cosmetic has a liquid consistency and is quickly absorbed. Some of our testers noticed a slight filling of fine (so-called paper) wrinkles 🤗, which are formed by drying the epidermis. The testers negatively assessed the smell of the product, describing it as raw, "pharmacy"🤔. The moisturizing serum has the ability to balance the pH of the skin, it can be used instead of a toner. It does not irritate and soothes redness. It happens that the cosmetic leaves a white residue on the skin.

Benefits

Tołpa, dermo face hydrativ, hyaluronic serum-booster deeply moisturizing

  • moisturizes
  • does not contain alcohol and silicones
  • soothes redness and irritation
  • light texture
  • fills in "paper" wrinkles
  • evens out the pH of the skin

Disadvantages

Tołpa, dermo face hydrativ, hyaluronic serum-booster deeply moisturizing

  • hydration is not in-depth
  • odor

The Ordinary Moisturizing Serum contains a high concentration of 🙂 hyaluronic acid, thanks to which it retains moisture in the 💦 epidermis, preventing the skin from drying out. It does not form a greasy film on the face, but it does leave a white residue. The cosmetic has a fairly sticky consistency, yet it is nicely absorbed deep into the skin. Our testers observed an unpleasant feeling of tightness of the skin, which makes it difficult to apply the cream to the face afterwards 🤨. It is a cosmetic for the patient – our testers noticed the effects only after 7-10 days from the start of use. The product is effective, but the lack of spectacular effects does not allow it to be placed on a higher place on the podium.

Benefits

The Ordinary, Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin B5

  • does not contain alcohol and silicones
  • soothes redness and irritation
  • does not leave a greasy film on the skin
  • vegan product

Disadvantages

The Ordinary, Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin B5

  • unpleasantly tightens the skin
  • sticky texture
  • late visible effects
  • may leave a white residue on the skin

Editorial Text:

The formula of the Dermedic moisturizing serum is based on thermal water. It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, which gives a feeling of hydration and gently firms the skin. The delicate texture does not weigh it down or clog pores 🤩. The cosmetic improves the overall appearance of the skin, but you have to wait a little longer for the results. The pipette attached to the glass bottle does not always measure the same amount of the cosmetic, and it also happens that it does not take the serum out of the package at all. Our testers were not satisfied with the smell of the product, which they described as "chemical"⚗️. The moisturizing serum contains effective active ingredients, but the content of as many as three preservatives, which can cause allergic reactions 😬, also attracts attention.

Benefits

Dermedic, Hydrain3 Hialuro, Moisturizing Serum for Face, Neck and Décolleté

  • based on thermal water
  • moisturizes and firms the skin
  • beautifies
  • does not burden the skin
  • does not clog pores

Disadvantages

Dermedic, Hydrain3 Hialuro, Moisturizing Serum for Face, Neck and Décolleté

  • low performance
  • chemical smell
  • you have to wait a long time for the results
  • the pipette doesn't always draw the serum
  • contains harmful preservatives
  • may cause allergies

Vichy Aqualia Thermal, Moisturizing Serum

Hydration level 7.9
No irritation 8.1
Odor 7.2
Consistency 7.3
Active ingredients 7.4
Intensity of action 6.9
Ease of application 7.1
Average Rating: 3.71, 370 votes

Editorial Text:

The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Moisturizing Serum moisturizes effectively, but not deeply 🤔. It soothes irritations and has a beautiful, subtle scent 😊. Testers described the serum's effects as ordinary, rather mild. To achieve visible results, it is good to use the cosmetic in combination with another type, e.g. moisturizing cream or masks. The advantage is the natural origin of most of the ingredients 🌿. The cosmetic did not make a good impression on those with oily skin - it caused an unsightly shine. The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Moisturizing Serum was in last place in our ranking mainly due to the price-performance ratio. Products with more spectacular effects can be bought much cheaper. Especially since the cosmetic is not one of the most efficient.

Benefits

Vichy Aqualia Thermal, Moisturizing Serum

  • effectively moisturizes
  • soothes irritations
  • pleasant, subtle fragrance
  • natural ingredients

Disadvantages

Vichy Aqualia Thermal, Moisturizing Serum

  • price-performance ratio
  • not very efficient
  • no spectacular effects
  • hydration is rather superficial
  • does not give good results on oily skin
  • can cause unsightly shine
